How can you change your child’s school curriculum?

One of our members recently shared a troubling experience. His 7-year-old daughter came home from school with homework that repeated a completely false narrative about Israel.

The assignment included shocking claims such as:

• That Israel was given to the Palestinians by God through Abraham.

• That no Jews lived in Israel until after WWII, when Europe “sent them there.”

• That America protected them, and this was the reason 9/11 happened.

Understandably horrified, he began a journey to change this.

First, he connected with other parents who cared—because no one can face issues like this alone. It took him six months to uncover that the source of these lies was not the local school or city, but the official state standards set by the Ministry of Education.

Next, with the help of organizations such as CAMERA, he developed alternative resources to counter these narratives. Step by step, and by applying consistent pressure from different directions, he and his group succeeded in removing the falsehoods and introducing truth.
